Anthropocene Campus | Key Terms II with Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir, Bronislaw Szerszynski und Chip Lord; Moderation: Katrin Klingan
When GPS trackers, blood transfusions, special feed, parking regulations, and national laws are used to save a certain species of bird from extinction, then nature, the human being, culture, and technology become a hybrid thing, as artist Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir shows using the example of a bird protection program. Something that can perhaps be described as “synthetic world,” as the sociologist Bronislaw Szerszynski explains. Where are the large-scale visions, the thinking in alternatives, as Chip Lord, a founding member of the legendary art and architectural collective ANT-Farm asks? A public discussion of the term “socio-ecological deisgn” to conclude Anthropocene Campus, led by Katrin Klingan, HKW.
Part II, public presentation of “Key Terms,” Key Term II, “Socioecological Design.”
